No. Each product stays a separate Shopify product with its own URL, title, images, description and reviews. FD Combined Listings links them as a group and shows them as swatches. The app doesn't edit your product titles, handles, descriptions, images or variants.
Nothing changes. Each product keeps its own URL and SEO fields, and the swatches link to the other products in the group. The app doesn't add or change canonical tags. See SEO for linked products.
On Online Store 2.0 themes, add the FD Product Groups block to your product template in the theme editor. The app's Theme setup page shows the steps. If your theme doesn't support app blocks, turn on the app embed and use custom placements. The app has ready-made placement settings for more than 220 themes. For a custom or hand-built theme, ask us in the chat and we can set up the placement for you. See Themes and placements.
Yes. Swatches can show on product cards on collection, search and other pages. You need three things:
You choose. Each style has a sold-out setting. For swatches, the Sold Out / Unavailable tab offers Hidden, Faded Only, Crossed Out, Faded & Crossed Out and Do nothing. Buttons and dropdowns have similar options.
No. Draft and unpublished products are hidden from the swatches. When you publish them, they show again.
Your plan counts groups, not products. For groups with many products, use the Show More Items setting on swatch styles. It shows up to a set number of options (1 to 30, separately for desktop and mobile) and puts the rest behind a "Show More" button. You can also pick a Swipeable or Slideout Panel layout.
Yes. A Multi Option group has 2 to 4 options, and each product is one combination, like Olive / Slim. A Subcategory group shows independent rows of swatches, like Tops and Bottoms. See Multi-option groups.
| Plan | Price | Groups | Automations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 | 0 |
| Starter | $4.95 / month | 1,000 | 1 |
| Pro | $19.95 / month | Unlimited | 5 |
Yearly billing saves 20%. Paid plans include Split Products. If you reach your group limit, new groups are saved as drafts until you upgrade. See Pricing and limits.
Yes. Prices on swatches follow the shopper's market currency. You can translate the option name, option values and badge text for each store language. See Translations and markets.
When a swatch shows prices, choose what it shows under When variant prices differ: Show lowest price, Show price range or Hide all prices. The selected swatch shows the price of the variant the shopper picked.
Shopify's Combined Listings app only works on Shopify Plus. FD Combined Listings works on any Shopify plan, starting with the free plan.
The product page swatches are built when you save a group and stored on each product. Your theme outputs them with the rest of the page HTML, so they don't wait for a call to our servers. The app's script and stylesheet load through Shopify's theme app extension. On collection pages, card swatches are added by the app's script after the page loads.
Yes. Bulk create finds groups by Title pattern or Handle pattern, or you can use CSV import. Starter and Pro also include automations that create and update groups as you add products. See Bulk groups and automations.
Yes. Import Groups reads CSV exports from several swatch and linking apps. See Migrate from another app.
Yes. Ask Sidekick to combine products as variants, and it fills in the group form. You check it and click Save. See Sidekick.
The app doesn't change your products, so there is nothing to undo on them. It stores group data in app-owned metafields on your products and shop. To remove the block from your theme, follow How to Remove from Your Theme on the Theme setup page. Products you created with Split Products are normal Shopify products and stay in your store.
Open the chat in the app. Every plan includes live chat and email support from people.
