Use Shopify Sidekick with FD Combined Listings

FD Combined Listings & Variant works with Shopify Sidekick. Ask Sidekick to combine products as variants, rename option values, set swatch colors, or find the group a product belongs to. Sidekick opens the group form in the app and fills it in. You check it and click Save.

What you can ask

Create a group

• "Combine my Tote bags as variants by color."
• "Group my 3 newest products into one Color option."
• "Link all the Linen Shirt colors as one product."

Sidekick finds the products with its own store tools, opens a new group with them, and sets the option name, values and swatches.

Edit a group

• "In my Totes group, rename the values to Red, Navy and Oak."
• "Set the swatch colors for the Linen Shirt group."
• "Rename the option to Colour and set the group to draft."

Find a group

• "Which group is the Linen Shirt - Olive in?"
• "Is my bag group saved?"

This works from any page in the Shopify admin, and Sidekick gives you a link to open the group in the app.

How it works

1. You ask Sidekick in plain language.
2. Sidekick opens the group form in FD Combined Listings and fills it in.
3. Nothing changes on your store until you review the form and click Save.

Saving works the same way as saving by hand. The group goes live on your product pages and collection cards right away.

Limits

• Sidekick edits groups with one option, like Color. Edit multi-option groups, subcategory groups and groups run by an automation in the app.
• Sidekick adds products to a group while you create it. On a saved group, use Add products or the trash button in the app.
• Swatch images come from Shopify Files.
• Your plan's group limit still applies.
